...a bite of the Apple

Four students from each year group (including me!) were chosen to go to the Apple store on Tuesday 22nd January. We were all picked by our ICT teacher because of our work in computing lessons since September.

We travelled by metro to Eldon Square and arrived back to school for lunch at 12:30pm. One of the staff from the shop gave each of us a new iPad, Apple pen and headphones (BEATS!) to use while learning about  three of their apps in more detail: GarageBand, Procreate and Clip.

In GarageBand it doesn’t matter if you’re musically talented because it’s all about creating. You don’t need to know any notes on instruments because it can tell you them and the chords. If you’re a singer, there’s a section for voice as well!

Procreate, again isn’t just for arty people, it’s just an enjoyable way of designing things that’s why many architects and fashion designers use them in their professional day-to-day jobs.

The final app called ‘Clip’ is also creative; you can insert pictures, text, and emoji’s to make a picture which you can send and share to people. The apps can be downloaded on many Apple products for use anywhere. They are all a great way of learning art, creativity and also general technology!
