Focus on Mental Health with Launchpad
Recently, a group of Year 8 pupils organized workshops for key stage 3 all about mental health.
These workshops were provided by Launchpad, a charity which works with mental health service users and helps to educate the public on these issues. The workshops included talking about everything from depression to anxiety.
Recently, a group of Year 8 pupils organized workshops for key stage 3 all about mental health.
These workshops were provided by Launchpad, a charity which works with mental health service users and helps to educate the public on these issues. The workshops included talking about everything from depression to anxiety.
The pupils participated in a truth or lie style game, where they sorted the fact from the fiction between common mental health stigmas. Launchpad also led an assembly for Key Stage 2, where they talked about opening up about how we feel. After the sessions, pupils felt more confident to open up, whether it be to their friends, teachers or the school nurse.
