Super Duper Disco Power!
On Wednesday 1st November there was a Halloween disco in school between 5:00 and 7:00 and it was amazing. Pupils were allowed to wear their Halloween costumes after school while the hall was transformed from a formal assembly room to an epic partying scene. The lights were turned off and all drapes were closed. There were bright red and green lights that sparkled in polka dot patterns on the floor and, when they reached the walls, they formed red and green fireworks. Smoke poured out of a small machine. You could hardly see anything, which was fun and “halloweeny.”
Enjoying yourselves, girls?

There was a set of tables in the corner where there were snacks and drinks for sale. The hot dogs were especially popular and everything was priced at under £1, which was reasonable. You could bring your snacks and drinks with you onto the dance floor but most people preferred to sit at the side on the benches. The snacks were delicious, though a little bit on the unhealthy side but that is okay once in a while!

It was a wonderful night; everyone had a really good time dancing with their friends. There was a DJ who was hilarious; he put funny songs on and made us all laugh! He played lots of songs such as The Macarena (Which got everyone on the dance floor) and Thriller (which also got everyone on the dancefloor). Everyone got out their best moves and there was some amazing dancing. If you got hungry there was a stall selling devilishly delicious hot dogs and seriously sticky sweets. There were loads of fangtastic costumes such as; Vampires, ghosts, Zombies, Skeletons, Witches and the joker. The teachers were all rather casual about it and didn’t dress up… come on teachers next year get into the spirit!
