On the 11^th of January some Year 5s went to Sport Central to take part in a basketball tournament.  They were very excited and could not wait to get into the game.

 They were split into four teams Gosforth East one, two, three and  four.

Firstly, we played twenty rounds of basketball each round was eight matches.  There were eight pitches in the court.  During the matches Izzy Tinnion was interviewed.

At twelve o’clock we all had lunch and had photographs with the Eagle players.

We were not in the play off so we watched the other teams play until the end.  Some people got ‘You’re a Star’ certificates with two free training sessions at any basketball team.  If you go to both you get to an Eagles game for free.  To end the day we all got a timetable of the Eagles fixtures.
