On Friday 14^th of October the Year 7 and 8s girls’ team and boys’ team took part in a basketball tournament at Northumbria University on the Eagle’s Court. Over all, GEMS team came second though the girls won all of their games. 

Elise, played in the basketball tournament, said “It was fun and enjoyable. I love basketball already so that’s why I probably enjoyed it so much. Last year we were first so we were a little bit upset that we didn’t win this time too.” However, everybody had fun and that is the important point of it.
