Mrs Overton, the Head Teacher at Stephenson Memorial Primary School in North Tyneside, organised a visit of some Chinese students to GEMS.  The children came on the 29th and 30th of November.

The lucky pupils took part in lots of different activities alongside and helped by our own pupils. They spent some time with Ms Hodgson singing and went to the gym to do some hard Metafit with Mr Jordan. Some children made a mosaic picture with Mr Rawlingson in the art room while others went to make some scones. After that, they all regrouped to have afternoon tea. This was a good idea because it introduced our visitors to an English tradition.

This is this second time some Chinese pupils from Years 5 and 6 (from the same school) have come to our school. GEMS are now looking at an exchange programme to send some GEMS pupils to China; so look out for this amazing opportunity. However, don’t rush off and start packing this is not confirmed… yet.
