MacMillan Coffee Afternoon

On Friday 30th September 2016 our school had a MacMillan coffee morning which was in fact in the afternoon! Students didn’t have their last lesson, instead went down to the hall to have a cake or two and some met their parents.

Parents met up with their children to share the experience.

On Friday 30th September 2016 our school had a MacMillan coffee morning which was in fact in the afternoon! Students didn’t have their last lesson, instead went down to the hall to have a cake or two and some met their parents.

You didn’t have to pay for the cakes, but you were asked to make a donation. This opened up to people giving plenty of money to the good cause of Cancer Research.

As well as cakes and biscuits, they had juice for the pupils and cups of tea and coffee for the parents.

The Gosforth Co-op, managed by Michael, generously donated lots of cakes for our afternoon.

Thanks to the parents and Co-Op donating cakes, and parents and pupils giving money we raised a grand total.

Can you guess how much we raised together?

£100?                                    More.

£500?                                    More.

£1000?                                  More.

In the end we raised a grand total of £1100!

Our £1100 will definitely make a difference to some people’s lives.
