  • Magistrates Court Visit

    Here they are in the courtroom. 12 year eight students are taking part in a mock trial so they can learn more about the justice system. This is their first visit in preparation for the 'real' mock trial. Look out for more details in the upcoming newsletter.

  • Dreams do come true...No Pen Afternoon at GEMS

    On the afternoon of the19th November pencil cases were put away and the pupils of GEMS got the chance to  exercise some different muscles and develop some different skills. The activities on offer were...deep breath: film, recycling crafting, pom-pom animals, cross -stitch, nature walk, nature art, table tennis, reading, netball, trampolining, Lego story telling, Battle of the Bands, Computer games and board games, robotics, Elvis karaoke, French cooking and food tasting, drama, disco, beauty treatments.

  • Captivating Castle Keep

    On the 2nd and 5th of December, the Year 8s went on an engaging visit to Newcastle’s Castle Keep. The trip included a visit to the roof, where you could see most of Newcastle City and Gateshead spread out before you but, unfortunately, an appointment with the basement had to be made!

  • 5SL Trinity Church Trip

    On Wednesday December 7th we had a lovely visit to Trinity Church. When we got there we met Peter, Peter (there were two peters!), Hazel, Mary and Jeremy and learned a bit about the history of the church. It was built in 1877 and other parts were added about 10 years ago in 2006.
