Thursday 25^th in Gems was a very important day as everyone took part in a sponsored walk for children in need. As always, Gems contributed to the phenomenal charity raising a massive total of £673. Each year group started the walk at a different time to each other so year 5 went first then year 6 and so on.

After walking down the primary schools we took a walk along the bridal path leading us to Melton Park. We then walked back to school through Whitebridge Park and had a nice treat when we arrived back after the walk. Juice and biscuits were all prepared out for us to have while having a little rest.

I speak for everyone who was there on Thursday by saying we all loved the experience to get out of school and walk with our friends and it was also a half school uniform day so we got to wear our own clothes with our school top half!
