Sports Day

Sports day was on the 9th July and everyone had the chance to take part. Year 5 and 6’s events were in the morning. The track events included 100m sprint, relay, 200m, 400m and the 800m run; they took place in first and second lesson along with year 5 and 6 jumping events. The last part of their sports day was the throwing in third lesson. Year 7 and 8 were in the afternoon which had all the same events. Overall everyone enjoyed the day and everything went to plan thankfully!  All the sports leaders and organisers did a great job keeping everyone happy whilst we waited in our sports team; Daring, Robson, Davison and Stevenson…… The winning team hasn’t yet been announced!

Gymnastics

The results are in for the two 500 games Gymnastic teams……… One team came an amazing 2nd in their category and the other team also did extremely well by coming 3rd in a different category; unfortunately, neither group got through to the next round only 1st place did but this is still a massive achievement for them as there was 18 schools around Newcastle who took part in that great opportunity for all the gymnasts. Everyone received a prize for their work and Miss O’Sullivan was very proud of everyone who was part of the day.

The gymnastics team also had the chance to show off their talents to friends and family at the Summer Fair.
