On the 11th October 2017 six pupils from Year 8,  Lacie, Maddy, Zahra, Grace, Charlotte and Jessica went on a trip to Asda and the Heaton Cat and Dog shelter with Mr Dowman. We saw lots of different types of animals.

At the end of break we walked up to Asda to purchase items to donate to the Cat and Dog shelter—we had asked them which products they wanted. We had one trolley but within two minutes Lacie realised we might need another. We had different people in charge of different thing, Zahra was in charge of the list, Charlotte the calculator and the rest of us finding the items and loading the trolley. When we had finished taking all of Asda’s stock!!  we loaded Mrs Rowland car. At one point we thought the car was going to do a wheelie.

After lunch we left school to walk to the Cat and Dog shelter, It took 45 minutes to walk there! We took a coat because it was raining cats and dogs! (Zahra forgot her coat,  oops!)

We got a tour of the shelter and we saw lots of cool animals, such as spider-cat (a cat climbing the cage wall)! We had lots of fun at the shelter and we really enjoyed it. The staff at the shelter were really happy with our donations all £250 of it!
