A team of Year eights since September have been clearing out our school pond, which is located in front of the main entrance. On Monday the 7th of March there were no frogs in sight, but the next week, on Monday the 14th, they went back and found 40 to 50 frogs in the newly cleaned pond! A true frog army! By the 16th there was a massive swarm around the edge of the pond.

 

One pupil thought all of the frogs were very cute and interesting while another said she usually finds frogs quite scary but, alarmingly, she found it hard to leave and was keen to return as soon as she got into school next day.

 

If you have a pond which is messy why don’t you become a ‘Pondbuster’. You might end up with your very own frog nursery!
